About the course
The IADC's Anatomy Comics course/module was developed to provide the student with essential techniques and fundamentals and knowledge about the human body as well as its stylization and simplification, whether realistic, manga or caricatured.
Students understood the concepts of anatomy, organic construction scheme, light and shadow, application of perspective, human anatomy – face and body.
Course Objectives
The IADC course/module Anatomy Comics will provide the student with the opportunity to expand the analysis of the human body for application in comics from its sketch by geometric structures to its completion.
During the 6 months of the course, the student will acquire knowledge of the proportions and shapes of the body, skeleton, muscles, fibers, rotation and the correct use of the pen and ink for final art and finishing for comics.
prerequisites
Dedication, enthusiasm and passion for art;
Have attended the Basic Design course/module;
Have attended the course/module Comics I and II;
You are over 15 years of age;
Program content
Realistic anatomy of the human body (study of “parts”);
Anatomy of the human body (study of “parts”) caricatured;
Anatomy of the human body (study of “parts”) manga;
Axis and Axis Block;
Making the fibers;
Constructing the human face (realistic, cartoonish and manga);
Hand Study;
Feet Study;
Styling anatomy;
Application of light and shadow, creating depth to the illustrations;
Final art (pencil);
Final evaluation;
